What is Instant Replay?
The Instant Replay is a tool on Insights Capture that allows you to capture up to 15 minutes of your previous game-play at the press of a button!
How do I get started?
By default this feature is disabled, to enable it simply visit Insights Capture's settings by opening the app, and clicking on the gear icon located in the top right-hand corner of the app. Then under the "Recording" tab, you should see the "Enable Instant Replay" option like so:
Once enabled, you can use the default keybind F6 to activate the feature while in-game to capture the last minute of gameplay, by default. Both the keybind and the duration of the clip can be changed on this settings page:
To change the activation keybind for Instant Replay, simply click the keyboard icon and hit the key combination you'd like to use instead of the default keybind.
To change the length of video captured by Instant Replay either drag the blue bar to the desired duration or click on the box and write the duration you'd like to have. For example, if you'd like to only record the last 15 seconds, you'd write 15s.
How does it work?
Similar to normal recording, Instant Replay only keeps the last few minutes of the recording and discards the rest. However, normal recording always saves the video to disk. Insights Capture starts working whenever you press your Instant Replay hotkey and stores the gathered footage.
In order to avoid wasting any resources on your computer, Instant Replay is disabled by default. You wouldn't want to be capturing every frame without purpose if you weren't using the feature, right?
