RivaTuner Conflict – Single Frame Recordings
If your recordings are showing as a single frozen frame but still have audio and mouse movements, RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS) may be the cause.
Why is my recording just one frame?
RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS) can conflict with Insights Capture during recording. When this happens, your footage will appear as a single still frame — but you'll still hear audio and see mouse movements playing through it. This is different from an encoding issue, so if that sounds familiar, read on.
I don't think I have RivaTuner installed?
RivaTuner often comes bundled with MSI Afterburner, so you may have it running in the background without realizing it. If you use Afterburner for GPU overclocking, there's a good chance RTSS is installed alongside it.
How do I fix it?
The simplest fix is to disable RivaTuner while using Insights Capture. If you don't rely on it for anything else, this should resolve the issue straight away.

No problem! You can keep RivaTuner running by switching its API hooking method instead. Head into RivaTuner's settings and navigate to Injection Properties, then enable "Use Microsoft Detours API Hooking". This resolves the conflict with Insights Capture and lets both run without issue.
